Time sure flies when you're having fun and drinking Budweisers! It's been 40 years since Joe LaMantia Jr and his original 20 employees broke ground at the future site of L&F Distributors in McAllen, Texas. Fast-forward from 1978 and here we are with nine warehouses along South Texas, West Texas and Southern New Mexico with 1,200 employees working diligently to provide our communities with fresh, premium beer.

Well, it's definitely been a journey to get where we are today, but it wouldn't have been possible without the support of every single one of you: our friends, our family and our communities!

Our Warehouse Managers and Marketing Team began planning our big celebration months in advance to be in conjunction with the 85th Anniversary of the 21st Amendment, ratified December 5, 1933. Yes, the one that abolished the 18th Amendment and effectively ended the 13-year Prohibition Era in the United States. Just imagine going 13 years without a single drop of golden beer or your favorite tequila, vodka, wine, Champagne... definitely not going down that road again! As Patrick Henry once said, "Give me liberty and pass me a Budweiser!" (or something along those lines).

Check out how we celebrated in December across all warehouses, speakeasy style!

General Manager Message:

"Even though we were challenged with lots of rain and stormy weather, as always, we conquered and overcame! We had great food, photo booth, DJ, casino nights and, of course, amazing beer, wine and other non-alcoholic beverages.

I’d like to give a quick Thank You to our partners in Harlingen, Laredo and McAllen for some tips! We had an amazing group of employees here in Corpus that worked hard together to set it all up (and tear it down). Too many to name them all, but I really appreciate every one of you!"
